I just got back from a eight day trip to Mexico. With a group of others, I spent time building a home in La Mission, while spending the night time playing with a hundred plus kids at the Door of Faith Orphanage. In the mornings, we would travel to the Garbage dumps in Tijuana and serve breakfast to the kids. Averaging around 250 kids per day, this past Friday we set the ministry record for most breakfasts served: 361. That is a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches, or what they called “Pan con Queso.” While working around the clock I found the time to play like a child again. There is nothing more freeing to me then just being five again and playing a kid: Rolling in the dirt, throwing rocks, or kicking a soccer ball for hours on end. God shows himself to me more profoundly every time I take the time to just simplify my mind and have child like faith. I will have some new pictures popping up as I edit them. Please comment and let me know what you think. Hope you enjoy.
